Matthew's well on his way to becoming a full-fledged "big boy". We've recently started working on potty-training and he's picking it up surprisingly well. Only once or twice has he told me he had to go and went on his own, but if I remind him every hour or so, he'll go to the bathroom and conjure something up. I'm not pushing the issue or rushing it at all, but it would be great if we could have him out of diapers by summer.
Also, just before Christmas the boys decided they wanted to share a bedroom. We decided we might as well let them try it, so when we moved Matthew's crib over we went ahead and turned it into a "big-boy bed". The first night in it, Matthew slept through the night, something that was VERY rare for him. The second night he did the same, and the night after that, and the night after that. The first couple weeks were awesome. He's still doing well, but occasionally, I'll wake up to his little feet padding over to my room wanting to sleep with me. Overall, I'm glad we made this move, both boys seem to be enjoying it (Nathan mainly because he got a room make-over in the process), and now they have a whole room to keep all their toys in.
My little boy is growing up, that's for sure. I know there are going to be many more exciting things happening for him. He seems to be getting over his shyness a little bit too, at least with other kids. I love my little man and look forward to these changes, though it is a little sad to think he's not really my baby anymore!

Aww! Good Job, Matty! I never thought potty training could be such an exciting topic until I was a mom! :)
Jake is not the slight bit interested..but Im hoping soon! :)
Matthew was not interested until a couple weeks ago. Some days he doesn't even want to try. I know we've got awhile yet, but I'm just glad he'll sometimes try. Yeah, someone who's not a parent would find it strange that this is an exciting thing!
